Sign-up for this new MoveOn-style coalition for Middle East peace now at JStreet.org.
More on today’s launch: The Nation, The American Prospect, Mother Jones, WaPo, Al Jazeera, JPost, Jewish Week, Haaretz, The Forward, and of course JTA.
The most revealing quote of all comes comes from former AIPAC executive director Morrie Amitay who exposed his utter douchebagginess in the Jerusalem Post, saying “that with 30 other pro-Israel PACs already roaming Capitol Hill [...] one new group would have limited impact.”
“The bottom line is that it really doesn’t amount to much at all,” he told the cage-lining paper of record. “It’ll barely make a ripple in Congress. Good luck to them. I don’t think they’ll get very far.”
I look forward to seeing that smug bastard proven wrong. In fact, I just donated $100 to spite him, and I encourage you to do the same.
